Allowed bands for digital?

I took a look at the band plan and saw digital is makred as "YES" on 30M so I was CQing RTTY on 10160 but I got yelled at by someone "Not on this frequency!" so now I am confused, am I allowed to use RTTY on 30M or what? Sorry if I'm very clueless, I'm new to all of this and I'm using HamSphere as practise for when I get a ham license.

also ignore the fact that it says I registered 7 years ago, yes I did register that long but I was just messing around with no idea how to do any ham stuff, and after the trial ended I just left it there (until now)

When was that? Date and time in UTC? Were they using the frequency for some contest event, group event or something like that? By the way, you must pay to use hamsphere 3 / 4 after trial period.

Or there might be a possibility someone shouted at you like ' Not this frequency! ' Did you check the frequency for a few minutes before you start RTTYing? If someone was already using the frequency before you, it is not a good manner to start sending CQ whatever the signal mode is.

For example, a person A and the other B are QSOing. You might not hear one of those. So it sounds like no one is using the frequency to you. But you can hear the other person's voice ( " Not in this frequency! " ) clearly. In that case, you are interrupting their QSO.

To avoid troubles like above, you can start sending a question, " Is someone using this frequency? " in any signal mode before starting "CQ... "

Wish this would help.

On all bands if you use you be okay on HS4!

< 30 KHZ = Digi and CW
> 30 KHZ = SSB
Only on contest it will tell you QRG
