How to install PSK31 software
2020-07-01 20:57
Dear all,

I have a question:
I have no experience with PSK31 and RTTY modes and I would like to use these modes on HamSphere, not only SSB and CW.
I can download some PSK-software like WinWarbler or DigiPan, but how do you make the connection between the software and HamSphere?
I have no idea. Do you need some additional hardware, or can you change some settings to make HamSphere send and recieved the PSK31 signals that are received by the application.

I would love to get some experience on this to find other means to communicate.

Thanks and best regards,

There are two possibilities to make the connection between the software used for digital modes, and HamSphere:

Mode 1: Use two PCs:

- The First PC for the RTTY, PSK31, SSTV, etc. software.
- The second PC for the HamSphere software

Using a physical cable, interconnect the two computers via the Audio input and output connectors of the sound cards.

Connect the Audio output of the first PC to the audio input of the second PC.
Connect the Audio input of the first PC to the audio input of the second PC.

Mode 2: Use a software to emulate those cables:

In my case I use the free software Virtual Cable https://vb-audio.com/Cable/index.htm

Once installed, you will have to make the same interconnection using as inputs and outputs, the virtual cable that installs this software:
