I've downloaded Hamsphere 4.0, first look WONDERFUL, BUT, there is a lot more band noise on the sim than what I get on my Flex 6300.

What do I missing ? Is there a button to click to avoid this horrible band noise ? I bought a Flex radio to avoid this noise, now I am surprise that a HF simulator is more noisy than my radio. I suggest a menu or a setting allowing to reduce it to nothing if we want.

But the thing looks awesome.

Hi Pierre and first a very warm welcome to "our show". :-)

HS 4 is working with a simulated atmosphere and yesterday the QRM was very high (I heard it as well), around S4 to S5 on e.g. 160 meters, cause of low propagation and a higher A-Index..
Maybe that was the reason? Normally the noise is about the same like at real radios.

But there are 2 ways to reduce it a little bit: Like real transmitters you can turn the "RF GAIN" knob a bit, that will also reduce the noise-gain of course.
The 2nd chance is to work with different filters, which are also available in the HS 4 simulation.

Because there is no "Squelch" in the radio, you can't stop this noise completely,
But I hope nevertheless you can enjoy HamSphere. :-) Good luck.
