Band-plan HamSphere 4
2018-05-26 07:05
In according to official Band-plan of HamSphere 4 we can work digital mode only on 30m.
I'm sorry to notice some stations working digital mode on 20m. I think we should pay more attention to Band-plan. 73' Angelo I0RNK

Hi Angelo,

I guess you mean HS 3 instead of HS 4?
Because on HS 4 it IS allowed. All modes (include CW and Digital) on most bands, apart from 48 m (BC-band) and 70 cm and 2 m (UHF/VHF).
On all other bands you can work CW and Digital as well.

Here you can see the current bandplan (May 2018) for HamSphere 4 (not 3!).

Hi Jörg

Thanks for info, but I had got the band plan from the RxTx HamSphere 4.0.

If you click on button Help of RxTx you can see "Getting started with HamSphere 4.0".

Open this note, so you can see the "Official band plan for HamSphere 4.0", that I got.

It's important for me to clarify this problem and I'm very grateful to you for the help you're giving me.

Have a good evening e my 73' from Roma. Angelo I0RNK

You're welcome. :-)

That's interesting, I don't have such button in HS 4.010 (Help). I know it only from the HS 3 Rx/Tx.
In HS 4 only Editor, Transceiver, Shop, Login and Exit.

And of course some links to Update, Videos, password-reset and so on.

Hi Jörg

Considering the band-plan you sent me, attached to May 2018 news letter and the plan in the Help button of RxTx HamSphere 4.0

it's clear that your information is latest, because the date is May 2018.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Hi Angelo,

I think I understood it correct, but I'm still missing this point at my HS 4 Rig or program (after launch):

I don't have such button in HS 4. Only the "Help"-link in the logbook, which leads to the logbook-help-file. But not to any bandplan.
That's why i was a little bit confused. :-))))

The typical "Help" button in my mind is only in the HS 3 Rig/program, in HS 4 I can't find it and as far as I know there was never such knob (I'm using the 4 version since the first day in 2014). .
The intention of this radio was and is, to make it very close to a real radio / rig, and there is also no "Help" button. :-)))

But still on the Log in HS4 : "Short User Manual - PDF " Band-plan HamSphere 4 seems to be the wrong one!

Yes it is possible to TX and RX FT8, FT4, and JS8 on HS4. Just need to use one of the many methods to connect WSJT-X or JS8 software to HS4. Some operators use Virtual Audio Cables, some use the StereoMix and some use other methods. Your best bet is to check the HS4 Facebook forum called” Digimodes on HS4 “ Hope this helps answer your question.
