VHF/UHF Monitor

This morning I made a special effort, I got up at 04,00 utc to see what I could work on the lower frequency bands, I did make a few QSOs, but if all those stations that had appeared on the VHF monitor and not speaking, had spent that time calling CQ on the lower bands (160 to 30 meters) I might have made many more QSOs.
I am sorry, but I do not see why so many stations waste their time keying up the repeaters and not doing anything more.
It is of course, the choice of everyone, how they use their time.
However, Keying the repeaters constantly does not seem to be very productive?
There were callsigns there that would be most welcome on the lower frequencies and although conditions are sometimes not very good you would be almost certain to get a few QSOs.
Please make the effort to check the bands, and call CQ.
You might be surprised by the results.
Kindest regards,
Brian. 30hs7103.
