CQ DX versus CQ
2017-11-14 12:31
Please do not call CQ DX if you accept stations from everywhere. In this case call CQ (without DX).

CQ DX means: Please call me - but only if you operate from outside my continent.

I agree with you, Alfred and I think, the next problem is that it is hard to "control" by the calling station (who really want a DX contact), if any answering station replies after all from the same continent (or even the same country!). So one make the contact nevertheless - and some answer anyway so as not to be unfriendly to other stations.

Sometimes we here it on HamSphere as well (also in the "real world" of course). And some stations are calling all the time "CQ DX...", under all propagations and on all bands.
That makes no sense.

It's also possible and common to complete a CQ call with a special country you are looking for, e.g. "CQ, CQ Italy...", also regions like "CQ South-America" or for any calls at the current band with "CQ twenty (meters) ..." and so on.
But NOT all the time CQ DX as a "normal" CQ-call. :-)))) That's a nuisance.

73 and good DX from Jörg :-)
