Hi,I just upgraded to 4,0 followed all instructions for the port settings..Still does not hear as good as 3.0 free version what am i doing wrong?Do i need to uninstall 3.0?...Thanks...

Yes that's correct, both programs are independent. Version 4.0 is more realistic to the real ham-radios, with a full simulation of the propagation, sun-flux, dif. antennas and so on. 3.0 is more a bit like Skype. That's the reason why you can't hear so much strong signals on HS 4.

You don't need to uninstall HS 3.0, both are running at the same time.
