When someone uses a remote do they have to use the call for that remote, or do they use they're own call with /R for remote and do they have to indicate what remote is being used?

In the real HF world the way I used to op was by indicating the following in my CQ

VA3UCT calling CQ via the HB9XXX Remote CQ CQ de VA3UCT calling CQ via HB9XXX remote in XYZ Switzerland.

I also noted that in contests you are not allowed to use a remote is that the case here in Hamsphere.
