Connection lost retrying.............

Trying to use HS4 and it works for a few seconds then i see Connection lost retrying............. in the left side window it does this three times then i get booted out to the log in screen, i have tried restarting it several times but it keep booting me off, is anyone else having problems?

This happens often with me. It is usually the bandwidth that you get from your ISP and how many other devices are using the bandwidth in you place or complex. The best option is to turn off the rig and try again in 15 or 30 minutes. This helps me as the bandwidth picks up or the latency on the port is better. It may not be the fix everything but it is something you can try. Hope it helps!

Thanks, i forgot to update this it started to work fine again a few minutes after i posted and fingers crossed its been fine sinse.

Is anyone else seeing this?

It happened again today a few times, i am on an 80Mbps fibre connection and i get 60 - 70 all the time, when i get booted off i try watching HD youtube video etc and it all works with no buffering so i am not convinced its a bandwidth issue.

Update.
I read in the forum if it happens you must shut HS4 down totally if you go to the log in screen and start it again the problem will persist, I wonder if closing it fully means you switch to a differnt serve when you log in again.

To clarify on my last post, bandwidth issues are mainly the culprit if you have a cable connection (CAT 5 or CAT 6). You mentioned that you had fiber so you should check your port connections and ensure that ports 5000 and 5001 are active and open. These ports are where HS4 connects. Hope it helps.

Lost of disconnections today on HS4 but HS3 works when HS4 disconnects, is anyone else having problems?

Since I paid to become a subscriber I am getting this all of the time. Wired or Wireless with a Virgin Media 200 down 10 up line. I am beginning to wish I hadn't wasted my money!

As well as shutting down completely (mentioned above) i was advised to right click on the HS4 icon and choose run as administer from the options this worked for me.

AFTER i RAISED A SUPPORT DOCKET, THEY DID SOMETHING AT HS4 HQ, AND IT IS OK NOW. I AM WORKING SINCE THEN. BANDWIDTH IS NOT THE ISSUE. I HAVE ABOUT 30 TO 50 Mbps.
