I seem to remember there is a way to pay subs using HS credit.
Can this still be done, and if so how ?

as far as I know it's only possible for the 3-month-SUB (without recurring):

The "normal" 1-Year SUB is still possible via PayPal, Bank-Transfer or Creditcard.
