Hi everybody...

I work with the linux distro Feren OS on a 64 bit laptop.

you can download this distro on https://ferenos.weebly.com/

What I did and follow these steps.

01: Go in Feren OS to Synaptic packet manager

And search in Synaptic packet manager for the following files:
icedtea-8-plugin
icedtea-netx
icetea-plugin en
openjdk-8

And download and install those files in the Synaptic packet manager

After the installing you leave the Synaptic manager
Go then to the Terminal of your Feren distro
and type on the command line: sudo apt-get update

Then:

01. Download hamsphere_4.010-setup.tar.gz on the Hamsphere website:

Go then to the Terminal to unpack this file, see below 02 how to do this

02. Unpack with tar zxvf hamsphere_4.010-setup.tar.gz

03. Then you go to the hamsphere_4.010 map by typing: cd hamsphere_4.010-native

04. If you are in this map, you have to type: sudo ./hamsphere_4.010 (you get 4 lines with " unknown")

05. The type: sudo ln -s /usr/bin/update-alternatives /usr/sbin (and give Enter)

06. The type: sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386 (and give Enter)

07. The type: sudo apt-get update (and give Enter)

08. The type this line:
:
sudo apt-get install libstdc++6:i386 lib32z1 lib32ncurses5 libxext6:i386 libxrender1:i386 libxtst6:i386 libxi6:i386

(And give Enter)

09. Then start Hamsphere 4 with the command: sudo ./hamsphere_4.010

Just wait a moment, takes some time the first time and you get the login screen of Hamsphere 4 !

10. Type in the callsign and the password

11. The next time you use Hamsphere 4 again.. you click on Downloads and on the map hamsphere_4.101-native

12. In hamsphere_4.101-native you see an icon with the name hamsphere_4.101

13. Doubleclick on hamsphere_4.101

14 And you see immediately the Hamsphere 4 screen

Please follow carefully those steps..type in with care.. because not typing correctly and it is not working..
