I'm noticing there are radio stations working on CW (telegraphy) mode with Hamsphere system.
I did some QSO CW mode and I appreciated the operation of the system.
I hope the number of stations will be increased to give the right importance to Telegraphy, that was the start of radio communications and the adventure up in the air.
If we think how many lives have been saved by telegraphy, we now are agree to do a little effort to remember or to learne the morse code.

I agree with you, Angelo. That was the beginning of radio communications and in the early aviation (ATC) as well.

As I made my second (full) HAM licence in the 70th years, I've learned CW for my exam. But nothing more....
Not in training and I forgot a lot over the years. Today i would NOT be aible to make a QSO in CW.
So I stand on voice only and enjoy it in HamSphere. :-)

I've got also 2 radio licences for the aviation (also english communications), but there is no CW today. :-)))
So I didn't follow this mode the last decades and I am not in training. In the 1970 years wie needed CW for the higher classes and all bands, but today people can make the exam without CW part.
And amateurs are very rare today in Germany.

Sometimes I believe this hobby is dying more and more, cause of internet communications and so on. :-(

I think you're right about the condition of our hobby.
Also in Italy there is a strong influence of internet and digital systems in the communications and young radio amateurs prefer to work on radio without problems or effort.

They wonder why we still use CW, an old system, now completely abandoned from Radio Communications.
After all also in Italy the examination for Radio Amateur is without telegraphy.
What we can say? We can answer only with a word: our passion !

I did a course of "Marconisti - Telegrafisti" 1972-1973 for a period of 6 months with final examination. The lessons were in the evening and I, each lesson, did 40 km by car to do them.
Only a passion, CW forever!

for me it was about 25 kilometers and only 2 or 3 times / evenings a week. :-) (1977 by moped)
