Hamsphere4 beacons splashing
2018-03-26 03:46
The beacons both Morse Id ones and the DSB one like 28412, splash the entire 10m band and could be heard right upto 490 kHz.
This NEEDS IMMEDIATE ATTENTION.
The morse beacons on other bands also splash all over the respective bands. Needs attention .Hope 5B4AIT is reading.

Somtimes that's correct. But a CW signal should not be sooo strong to splatter into a whole band.
Normally only an overmodulated voice-signal (or a strong AM Carrier) splatter into many neighbour-frequencies.

Selecting a lower filter could help a little bit. But I hear beacons maximum up to x30 o a band, if it is around x10.
And normally we don't use the lower parts of a band for voice operating. So it can only "destroy" other CW signals - and they are not sooo many in HamSphere. .

There may not be many CW stations yet but one would hope the beacon stations are using the appropriate power levels. Is this being monitored? In the real HF world many beacons are only using just a few watts. The issue is that the splatter may cause cw stations (such as myself and a growing number of others) to have to move up band, and then we have to contend with the 100 watt phone stations. If that happens, I’ll have no problem informing the voice stations that the frequency is in use by a 5 watt CW station...

CW Always!

Found at a frequency of 28407423 lighthouse 140HS1-Antarctica! Wanted to spatiality, but the site says that this Callsign does not exist))) Is how to understand? Thanks in advance!

Our poor luck. None of the HS4 beacons SEND ANY QSL card or QSL message. Some of us have really logged good DX beacons. Alas, no luck. Hope the day will come when they verify. Sometimes, the Virtual Hamsphere remains totally virtual and never nearing real amateur radio. Hi.

Ok, a simulation over the internet can be never like the "real world", of course.
It is not shortwave, no real atmosphere and something like that. But I think it is very cloth with the feeling.

A couple of minutes ago I had a few contacts with stations from Canada and the USA again and this on a day with lower propagation on 17 meters (and all higher bands) from Germany,
Also a little bit splattering from lower frequencies, but possible with signals around 5/5.

Was lucky today to get "2HS1 FRESNO CA K" BEACON FROM FRESNO CA USA ON 28408. Was a vy poor signal and took half an hour to get all the character set. Alas, no QSL expected... must be a real low power tx.... 28412 was splashing badly.
