I downloaded HamSphere 4.010 for the mac which put a zip file in my downloads folder. I double clicked on the zip file which expanded the zip into a file named hamsphere_4010 and a folder named rt which has several subfolders. On the mac, executables normally have a .dmg extension but no file with that extension was created. Can someone give me some help please.

I don't have an Apple, but as far as I know there is no HamSphere .dmg File in the archive.
You should type the following line into the mac-terminal (after the installation):

./hamsphere_4.010

then press [ENTER] - Key

this should be possible in the "hamsphere_4.010-native" folder.
