Interface Plugin (Key's and so on)
2015-09-03 17:39
Hi all,

today I bought the new interface-plugin. But it isn't working correctly, there are a couple of points:

* if you set the PTT to any key, you will get a "repeat" effect after a few seconds. In the DX-MON you see 1.000 of red report values and the PTT doesn't unlock. After a time the PTT will unlock, but that takes time. Also you see a "carrier" in the bandscope for a longer time on your frequency. If you press the "real" PTT, it works normal. But not with keyboad keys.

* the values for keys are not accepted. It's not possible to turn the VFO or "QRG frequency" only in 1 Hz steps or in 100 Hz steps and so on. Sometimes it takes 10 Hz, somtimes 21 Hz and somtimes other values like 123 Hz or something like that and you can't control it.

* if you clear a key and set another one, nothing will happen and you have e.g. 3 key's with the same function! But you can't clear it again, because the plugin says "not assigned".

* the antenna rotator can't turn with a key clockwise or counterclockwise. It is only possible to set fix values, e.g. "295 degrees" for each key.

* with the plugin inside the radio crashes sometimes and after restart the plugin say "Adapter Busy" all the time and with a RED LED. You can't do anything and there is no "Reset". Also a complete relaunch brings no solution. That is the current status after a longer time.

Is there any solution for that?

That is "strange",,,, today it seems to be solved. :-)

All functions of the plugin are working now as described (except the "Set Antenna 1-", but that's not so important for me).
Also the PTT is now working absolutely correct without locking TX for longer time or repeating the "DXMON" every second while transmitting.
And the VFO is now turning in e.g. 1 Hz steps or what ever you want.
That is great!

Maybe it was yesterday depending on the server load or whatever, I don't know.

Anyway, it is a very useful plugin!
For the 25,- Euros you can assign most Keyboard keys and also external hardware via RS-232 / USB, like a CW-Paddle, real PTT-Key or something like that.
I think, that is one of the most important plugins for HamSphere.
