pse no exchange of callsigns at every over

most users repeat callsigns at every over , unfortunately a common thing on hamsphere and even at pile-ups and so wasting time and bothering others who wait , therefore I like to remind all users to the well writen article by KB4T at his hamsphere blog page : http://kb4t.hamsphere.net/2012/05/05/how-often-must-i-identify/

There is no rule nor sence to exchange the calls on every over , regulations say in real HF , you identify at start and end of QSO and during a QSO only every 10 MINUTES , and please stop this behaviour especially during pile-ups ! in all that time of exchanging callsigns again and again, a second QSO would already be finished and many more operators could have their contacts . 73 Uli DG7LAE

Great post! Another thing that is AWFUL is when a stateside station keeps going on and on while they know full well that there are other stations waiting to work the same DX station. Rude and out of touch!

I agree 100%, Uli! You know, we both had this topic also in a PM and we have the same mind about this.
And I often said it in some QSOs as well and the other operators admit that's correct.
Nevertheless we can hear it in about ALL QSOs and also from licensed Amateurs.

It's absolutely enough to repeat his Callsign every 10 minutes or after long transmissions, but not after a "Your'e 5 by 9, good signal, this is AC5DHB, over".
Ok, in a "round table QSO" it is courteous to give an introduction for new stations and after this the next operator should say his Callsign.
But in a "2-way QSO" that's stupid at every over.

today i was listen to pile up for Fernando XV/PY3RK. Fernando is great operator. He made contacts with almost all operators, who wanted to contact him. And i like this pile up very much, because all stations was very shortly in their QSOs with Fernando.
